[ICOM] IC-756PROIII No Transmit

I had this problem twice with my PROIII.

1st time I sent it to ICOM East.  He repaired the rig and had it back in just a few days.  It was a front-end part.  I am at work so don't know what part it was.

2nd time was on 9 months after the first repair.  Same problem.  No transmit. Same part.

This time I decided to sent it to: Burghardt's for repair.  They advertised a small board to prevent the frontend problem.

The part which they make is:

 BEV-756 Burghardt In IC-756/756PRO/756PROII/756PROI 79.95 

I had them install it while they were doing the repair.  So far I have not had anymore problem.  But who knows??  But why would a company like burghardt take the time to design/build and sell a modification if it didn't have a market for it?
