[ICOM] IC-756PROIII No Transmit

Hello Alan!
Interesting to hear that there are other out there with the same problem I
have had several times.
I think I have sent my rig to my dealer 7 times.
The problem started with my PRO II, so after four turns to the dealer they
gave me a new PRO III without cost. I think the reason was that there were
no PRO II:s left at the time.
I am not a technical guy and therefore it is easy to blame myself doing
something wrong. But I have had a lot of exoerienced hams, checking my shack
for some problems but no one could find any wrong with grounding or other
things.
Now I always disconnect my antenna from the rig when not in the schack.
The explanation I have got from my dealer is that high voltage has come in
to the rig and destroyed some components. This can eventually happens even
if the thunder and lightning is far away.
However I also have a ICOM 765 and I have never had this sort of problem
with that rig.
I think there are qutie a lot of PRO III owners who have had this problem,
as I have read mail like yours several times. Perhaps you can put this
question to Adam Farson, who seems to have a lot of knowledge in ICOM
equipment.
Good luck es 73 de
