Well, I was using the 13-pin ACC connector. But I recently swapped to the
6-pin data jack. HOWEVER, I didn't go inside the SignaLink USB to
reconfigure the jumpers (thinking they were the same as the 13-pin
configuration)... WRONG.
Anyway... I got these little configuration 'cubes' so that you don't have to
monkey with the jumpers to switch from rig to rig (or in my case,
jack-to-jack).
So... I do get audio from the 6-pin connector. However, the level is rather
low... even with the extra jumper in the SignaLink USB and the RX to max.
That said - after years of trying, it finally is usable... and mobile
digital modes...

Hello Michael
I have a IC-706MKIIG I am using presently in my shack and it is
interfaced to my Computer as we speak! I get a good waterfall on my
software from my SignaLink USB I have the RX audio gain at 12 )'clock
and get a great waterfall. I homebrewed my 6 pin Mini Din cable myself
to boot. You did not say whether you were using the Mini Din data port
or the 13 Pin larger Din plug. I recall not getting enough waterfall
drive from the 13 Pin Din when experimenting around with Homebrew
Interface. I made the mistake and ordered my SignaLink USB with a
unterminated cable so I could use it om my FT-GX brothers FT757GX & it's
bigger FT-767GX. I wonder if something is wrong with your Cable? I get
better waterfall drive from my IC-706MKIIG then I get from my FT-757 or
767GX radios. I will tell you all a little Secret there is nothing
special about the SignaLinks unterminated Radio Cable it is Standard
RJ-45 LAN Cable the Colour Code is the same. I found a spare piece and
confirmed that point when I made up my own cable for my IC-751A. I hope
that helps Michael.
