[ICOM] Newbie

Hello to all.. I am a newbie here and wanted to introduce myself. My
name is Rick, my call is K5IAR. I've been an amateur radio operator
since 1962. I operate most modes and am trying to get more involved with
the digital side of things. 

I have an IC-756 Pro II I want to use for this purpose. I am using a Kam
XL tnc with the newest version of CSS software. I also have the CT-17
level converter so I can remotely operate the Pro II from my computer. I
am wondering if anyone on the list has ever used this in conjunction
with the Kam XL and CSS software? The software has the ability to
control the Pro II also and I am a little confused on how to make all
the physical connections to the computer and such. If  I use the CSS
software do I need to run the tnc through the CT-17? As you can tell by
my confusion, I am relatively new at this digital stuff. Any and all
comments and advice will be greatly appreciated.
