[ICOM] Icom IC-471A Service Manual

Rich,
Does your UT-15 have a secondary Tone encoder board installed onto it?
The UT-15 was an interface board, it alone would not generate a CTCSS
tone. Icom choose to use a communications specialists board that
mounted onto the UT-15 and that generated the CTCSS tones. The UT-15
provided the interface between the Comm-spec tone board and IC-471A.
I don't know why Icom never produced a service manual,for the 471A. I
spent 11 years there and never saw one.
