[ICOM] IC-706MkIIG & N2VZ Turbo Tuner

Has anyone seen this problem?

 

My gear - IC-706MkIIG, N2VZ Turbo Tuner, Tarheel Model 100.

 

I've been using this gear for a while.  However, recently. when I key up
with the N2VZ Turbo Tuner plugged into the Tuner Control Socket, the rig
toggles out of USB mode and into CW mode while I'm talking (obviously,
disrupting the transmitted audio).

 

If I simply unplug the cable from the Tuner Control Socket, everything works
fine.  It hasn't always been this way.

 

Any ideas?
