Thanks so much! Did not know of a hammered unique finish.. What will they
come up with next? I did find out today that I was using "metalic" paint, a
BIG blunder on my part. That was causing the almost black color at certain
angles and real silvery from directly above. I had the top color matched at
a paint store and it turned out to be medium gray matt (slightly shinier
than flat and less that semigloss).. But, when I put it on, the color
appeared slightly lighter than original but the black reflections from
metalic settling is now gone. So, I think the dark gray or charcoal would
have been better and slightly darker. I paid $13 for a large can and could
not buy the real small can. Now I either go with the darker gray matt or use
the Rustoleum dark gray primer and see what happens. Boy, is this fun! hi
