[ICOM] ProIII? Why, for heaven's sake

Ignore the retail price drop for the ProIII. It wasn't a "top dog" in
the first place (deaf receiver), and it is being sold-out now because it
is being discontinued (that info is all over the Asian nets) to make
room for the IC-7600, which is about to be placed on the market. Given
the relative specs. I can't imagine why ANYONE would by a ProIII.

But then, I got rid of the only ProIII I ever had in here after two
contest weekends, because it wasn't even close to my 775.

In any case, dealers are SELLING OFF ProIIIs because they are about to
be discontinued. They are being discontinued because the 7600 (on spec,
a MUCH better radio) is about to be rolled out.

All this is quite obvious if you do the web research (and has been
confirmed to me by friends at both AES and HRO--if you needed confirmation).
