[ICOM] 761 tuner

Was trying for some time today to get the tuner in my trusty old 761 to
bring the beam into a reasonable SWR.  A few minutes ago, the tuner stopped
working.  The light is on on the panel and I can hear it switch in and out
but no adjustments are possible.  My AT-500 tunes perfectly and it is out of
the line when I try to adjust the rig's tuner.  With the AT-500, I realize
that I don't need the radio's internal tuner but it was working an hour ago
and now it isn't.  Is there something I'm doing wrong or is it something I
did?   Did I somehow blow it up?  There's no indication of anything that
might have burned.
