[ICOM] Icom 7200 at Dayton

I'm just getting back from Dayton and catching up on emails. One of my hopes at
this year's hamvention was to check out the new 7200. Clearly it's rugged,
compact design emulate earlier military radios (like the PRC-138 or URC-200) and
work well with Icom's target application of emergency/disaster comms. I always
use an outboard ATU and power supply but I was very disappointed by the lack of
FM and signalling (according to the brochure). I found the control head easy to
use and had every hope of buying a couple 7200's this year but without FM and
signalling I may not buy at all. What was Icom thinking? I was also a little
surprised about the lack of D-Star vocoding given Icom's heavy investment in
D-star lately.
