Do not remove the wax..the wax keeps microphonics from creating noisy
LO signals
from just vibrations in the shack..the trimmers should be free of wax
and sometimes that wax melts some and gets into the cheap plastic
trimmers they use. Best to replace all
4 plastic trimmers and replace with ceramic type..Icom tech support
can help with
part numbers for those trimmers..
