Jack,
I have never removed the wax from a 765. However, I have removed a lot of
wax from older radios. What I found works best is a hair dryer. Usually low
heat will melt it out safely without damaging any of the components.
You may have to support it above the bench so it will drip out. It is best
to gently heat the areas around the components also so there is not a hot
spot. Don't get in a hurry, let it heat up slowly so all the components heat
up uniformly.
