[ICOM] ProIII and TX5C

I've been following this thread for a while now.

I run a PRO III in as primary and a PRO II as a second
op rig (contests).

While I have seen what appeared to be minor lagging
AGC recovery on both radios they have primarily
occurred at low signal levels and not under "overload"
conditions. These radios have been super at pulling
out weak signals in the midst of the kilowatts.

I have thus far worked the current Clipperton
DXpedition on 12 band modes with absolutely no
problems and all on 100 watts or less. 30 meter RTTY
took a while, mainly because many did not understand
what the word "UP" means.

Pay attention to propagation; listen to the operators
instructions and have minimally decent antennas. Above
all LISTEN!

The PRO's are not at fault; it has primarily been
conditions, timing and sadly, some very poor operators
at OUR end. They are doing a super job considering the
problems they face, both in operating conditions and
the "lid fest".
