Hi Don,

Since you have had a IC-735 for several years, please tell me how often you
have replaced the memory battery.

I bought my IC-735 used in 1988. I replaced the battery after the first 6-7
years and have not replaced it since. It is still fully functional, but I
suspect it should be replaced again. The only concern I have is the
possibility of it losing its mind, since the programming is in volatile ram.
I have only had the cover off twice in its lifetime. Once to change the
battery and once to change the CI-V baud rate to 9600Baud. It has been a
very reliable work horse. and was my main radio for about 16 years and now
it is relegated to Motorhome mobile.
