Hi Jim,
But see, you are proving my point. You aren't complaining about fan noise
because you know the importance of it, among other things. I would doubt
that the fan on the Icom 7000 is any louder than those. The FT920 is large
enough also that it doesn't need the fan as much because the rig is easier
to dissipate heat using the heatsinks and chassis.
