[ICOM] IC-7000 Question

Bill,

To cut to the chase...his attitude and behavior make it clear you own 
him nothing. I usually give people the benefit of the doubt. However, 
when someone responds the way you described it is not only uncivil but 
indicates there is more going on.

To reduce any blowback I would suggest the following:

(a) send him one more e-mail stating that you are more than willing to 
help him identify the issues and resolve the problem.
(b) but to do that you need his cooperation at providing clear and 
concise facts.
(c) keep the tone of the e-mail pleasant and helpful.

If he replies with another rant follow up with one last e-mail (a) 
restating your offer to help, but (b) since he's elected to be 
uncooperative and unreasonable there is nothing to resolve. Do not take 
the radio back.  Keep copies of the e-mails. If he wants then to trash 
your reputation just simply make the e-mail thread public or available 
at anyone's request. You will be absolutely amazed how quiet things will 
become.
