How about ohms law: E x I = P or I = P/E - therefore 20 watts divided by 
13.2 should draw 1.5a... 

Hi Howard, 

Your math would be fine IF the 706 was 100% efficient; but of course, 
it's not.  

The overall Tx efficiency is probably somewhere between 20% (~7A) and 
70% (~2A).  But rather than guess at efficiency, it would be best if 
someone could weigh in with an actual, empirical measurement.
