[ICOM] Thoughts on the Icom 7700

Well I too was disappointed with the lack of Dualwatch... but I took the 
plunge anyway. My reasoning was... although DW is definitely useful, 
it's not absolutely indispensable... since it shares the AGC loop... 
setting the balance was tricky and the deterioration of the SNR ratio 
rendered it useless on weak signals. What I *really* wanted was the 2nd 
RX of the 7800... but I couldn't really, in my case, justify the 
additional $4K. Maybe I'll trade up to the 7800 when the financial 
outlook improves ;-)
