[ICOM] 2720

I have watched a lot of good advise and information come across these pages
is the last little while. Now it is my turn to request some advise and
assistance.

I have a Icom 2720 with about 6 months of active monitoring on it. It has
had very little transmission time. In fact the radio was purchased over a
year ago and languished in the box for most of that time.

However I had the software and programmed the local frequencies into the
radio and seemed to work ok. I did have some repeaters that did not seem to
come through the speaker though.

The bars on the lower part of the led would show that it was receiving
signals but no audio. Some worked ok some did not. I assumed that I had
programmed the frequency incorrectly and it needed a code for Rx. Now I get
no audio at all on any frequency and when the PPT is pushed the voltage
readout on my power supply shows a voltage drop of 5 volts. Only when the
push to talk button is depressed.

I switched the radio out with another radio. When transmitting the voltage
on the power supply stays near 13.5 volts.

I think my radio is ill.

Any thoughts on the issues??
