[ICOM] IC-F40G 450-500 into ham band?

Hi Chris,

Sorry, my mistake - my F40LT is the mid-range model (430-470 MHz).

Generally, if the "official" lower limit is 450 MHz, the radio should go
down to 440 MHz. I have found this to be true of the older Icom LMR gear,
such as the U16, U400, U200 etc.

Cheers for now, 73,
Adam VA7OJ/AB4OJ

The F40GS/GT and F40LT are quite different animals.

The specs I could find on the F40LT suggest there were three models, the
400-430, 430-470 and the 470-520. Yours is 470, and will function as far
south as 440? Or do you have the 430-470 model?

I have software and the cable I can order, for the IC-F40GS and F40GT, its
the OPC-966.
