[ICOM] 781 TR/REG Problem

If it is true that the power supply were designed to operate on 
100VAC@ 50Hz, then it might behoove users to employ a Variac 
or fixed ratio step-down transformer to safely power the 781.

It is my understanding that the power supply in this transceiver was designed for 100 volt AC mains in Japan, and when operated from 120 volts a lot of power is dissipated. Larry K4LXV.
