There's maybe a reason. Perhaps MKIIG's and the
like are designed to be mobile, mainly, and 2M
is part of the things most of us do while mobile.
Now, someone who procures a big radio for their
home QTH may just want a separate radio for 2M
and other VHF. Psych 101 (?) Me, I have a ProII
and a IC-275H here. Pretty good setup. If I
manufactured radios I'd try to put a lot of bands
into a lower priced product for those who really
can't afford to have a lot of ICOM's on the shelf.
Trivia end. 73 Clete
