[ICOM] SM-6 and IC-756 PRO III

Cam: The SM-6 microphone will work with the 756-Pro radios, but remember that it was designed for the older Icom radios with lower microphone amplifier gain. This is why the SM-6 contains internal amplifiers. If I had an SM-6 and wished to use it with my Pro-III radio, I would install a Radio Shack 270-090 PC mount electret element in the SM-6, and wire it directly to mike pins 1 & 7, while utilizing the existing ptt wiring at a total cost of about $3 USD. This would allow me to utilize the wonderful microphone equalization built into the Pro.
