[ICOM] IC-2KL help needed

Just a curious question, what does the PRO meter position say? How about the
IC? Is the 40 VDC really holding, or just not falling off because of the giant
cap in the circuit? Doesn't sound like a protection problem, but ya never
know.....
There is a relay circuit in the P/S that is supposed to slow the inrush current
when first turned on. Looks like R-5 and R-6 (30 ohm 20 watt) are the in-rush
resistors. C-1, R-4 and D-1 look like the delay TC. I would check around
there. Might be a great time to replace caps, they DO dry out. Maybe dirty
relay contacts in the hold circuit?

ICOM doesn't have the big DC cap any more. Try this.

Hmmm - can't find a phone number. Well - there is always the web.
The cap is a bit over-rated - so it should last you a long time. Yes it works
in my 2KL. Icom had all the others.
