[ICOM] Icom 756 PRO III output power

Hello

I am new to the reflector and a new PRO III owner as well.  I've researched the archives and found quite a few subjects relating to low output power from 746 and 756 owners.  I am running a PRO III into a 5 element Telrex monobander with FLAT vswr.  I cant get any where near 100w out of this rig into the yagi or even into a bird dummy load.  I have a Diamond SWR meter and a Bird 43 with both measuring to within a few watts of each other....about 85-88w on 14.200.

I use a Henry 3K Premier amp that likes to see 110 or so watts from the Ft1000 on the bench...with the Icom, the power is way down out of the amp.  

I have heard that these rigs can produce more power...is this true?  I am NOT running the Icom PS but rather I am using a 35amp Astron PS so additional current draw would not be a concern.
