[ICOM] rotatable dippole antenna question

Works great FWIW and needs very little turning as it covers 2+ quadrants at
the same time since the lobs are very wide.
That is:
Suppose you have it pointing west. You get some 100 degrees of the western
direction & you hear 100 degrees of the eastern direction as well - all at
more or less the same signal strength (for equal stations).
Now turn it 45 degrees to either left or right to get the rest of the entire
circle covered. Very fast and you actually swing no more than 90 degrees.
Of course little gain and needs to be at proper height for pleasant DX work.
When conditions are good you don't need to turn it at all.....when they are
bad indeed, no turning will help in any way.
(The last phrase is true for the big guns with heavy beams as well....)
My 2 cents
