I just installed the same RS part, which has been hanging on my shop
door AS A REMINDER.. of what a good device it is. Had it so long it
is marked $ .99.
I found a great black gooseneck which also has an AKG dynamic
element..( which has a peaking at about 2.5-3K.... I mounted the
electret directly in front of the dynamic element and ran separate
output lines thru the gooseneck.
While I am certain that the case of the electret causes interference
( distortion) to the wavefront entering the dynamic ...they both
sound great...and provide a quick plug into my icom sets,,,, while
the dynamic provides a balanced feed into an audio processor ( should
I want to mess around)...
