#1 -- Congrats to Fearless Leader. Dick, on his re-election as NV SM  ......
#2 .-- Hammers tend to not realize that THOUSANDS .. yes, thousands, of ICOM radios go to various government services around the wolrd.  Very myopic thinking they only sell to the ham market. Also, like Collins, causes pricing o remain high on radios and parts, becuase of the problem arising in a company cannot sell the same equipment to a ham for half the price they charge a governmental agency.
#3 -- Amateur Radio equipment is probably the best buy in electronics, anywhere .. when one considers the small market .. execpt, see above....
