Why all the whining because it doesn't have dual-watch?
If the radio doesn't meet your needs, buy something else.

I see this radio as filling a nice niche between the 756PROIII and the
7800.
If you must have dual-watch, then buy one of those radios.

If you want a 7700, then a second RX can be a 7000, a 756PRO or
another 7700.  I see this radio as aimed at the contester who wants
a SO2R or M2 station (and I think it's a reasonably large number).

Some people do have several radios, for different purposes.
Or just for the hell of it.  I have, and use, three ICOM and two
Elecraft HF radios, and have another Elecraft on order.
(That being said, I want to get rid of two of the current lineup).
