[ICOM] IC-7700 - dual watch, analogue meter

Just another view:
I have a PROIII and I very nearly never use dual watch. I like to know which frequency I am listening to. After the DX station comes back to someone, I push and hold the XFC button and tune for the station he is working. I am not claiming its better, just what I do.
Maybe ICOM listened to the pile ups for BS7H, where the braying jackass approach was used by a lot of stations. It doesn't matter if he is working someone or standing by. Just keep braying your call sign on top of everyone else when he is trying to work some one. Obviously this does not require dual watch. ;<)

I know we aren't taking a poll here, but ....

... I wouldn't buy a new radio without dual watch for any amount of
money. And, for the price they are asking for the Top Line gear, they
would have to be capable of full diversity reception and dual receive
across bands before I would spend any money on one.

Until then I will be happily operating my IC-775DSP (and wishing it had
even the marginal diversity capability that my old FT-1000D had).
