[ICOM] UT-102 differences?

Hello all,
    I just found that there are at least two different versions of the
UT-102 voice synthesizer.  I have a UT-102 that mounts perpendicular to the
main board.  On my new IC-746Pro this UT-102 will not fit.  There are two
electrolytic capacitors that will not allow the UT-102 to plug in properly.
Apparently there is another version of the UT-102 that mounts parallel to
the main board.
    Is there any method (other than looking at the connector) to distinguish
one version from another?  Might someone have a parallel mounting UT-102
that would like to trade for one that mounts perpendicular?  Please contact
