[ICOM] AT-500 "Wait" LED constantly On

Brian, Tom,

Icom used to make the OPC-118 adapter cable (female 24-pin Molex to male
ACC1 & ACC2). If you wish to make up your own cable, the connections are as
follows. The ACC(2) plug is a male 7-pin DIN, and the accessory plug for the
2KL is a 24-pin Molex (male if plugged into the 2KL, female if plugged into
the 2KL control cable.)

ACC (2) Pin 1 (8V Band Ref.) to Molex Pin 12

ACC (2) Pin 2 (GND) to Molex Pin 8

ACC (2) Pin 3 (SEND) to Molex Pin 3

ACC (2) Pin 4 (0 ~ 8V BAND) to Molex Pin 13

ACC (2) Pin 5 (ALC) to Molex Pin 7 (Mandatory!)

ACC (2) Pin 6 (TRV) NC

ACC (2) Pin 7 (13.8V) NC

The IC-2KL and AT-500 user manuals and other documents are downloadable
here:

Cheers for now, 73,
Adam VA7OJ/AB4OJ

Brian,
What radio are you using with the AT-500? Did the
combination ever work or did you just acquire this
equipment?
I am thinking that you would be smart not to discount
the possibility that the AT-500 is actually OK and
that the problem is with the cable between the radio
and the tuner. Does the tuner make the sounds of going
through the tuning process?
I would get the diagram for the cable (can't help you
with that- sorry) and check its continuity from pin to
pin.
best of luck
Tom, W3TMC
