[ICOM] Icom 746 Pro questions

Hello all:
           I have many questions about the receiver on the Icom 746 Pro.  Is
the Icom 746 Pro receiver similar to the 756 Pro 2 on HF?



Has the display backlight problem on the 746 Pro been solved?

No its not.
I have IC-746Pro where baclight is dead and when study where fault is it, i 
found backlight power supply tarnasistor fault.

Main problem is, when keep backlight dim, this power transistor heat a lot 
of and it is soldered to the circuit board insufficient cooling what causes 
those transistor be ruined.
