[ICOM] Pro series, portabilty, and more (was: re: info needed please)

Hi Adam and all,
Yes, I think maybe, for now at least, I will hang onto the 775. Altho 
selling it and getting something newer then those other radios I 
mentioned may be nice to do at some time too. Like sell in and get a 756 
Pro maybe. My only worry about those kinds of radios is if the display 
ever goes out. Has this happened with the Pro series? How long, 
typically, should such a display last? Is there a source for spares? It 
would also be nice to get a smaller back up radio too. With Field Day 
just around the corner, I am reminded of how nice it is to have 
something smaller and portable too. Kind of hard to lug a 775 to Field 
Day, nor would I want to expose such a radio to the elements either. 
What is everyones thoughts on this?
