[ICOM] IC-707 Receive problem

Hi Guys,

Got an IC-707 which I am checking out for a fellow
ham. It has a receive problem.
When switched on from cold it will receive fine, after
a few minutes it will stop receiving on SSB. AM is
fine. Switching modes or pressing the PTT does not
restore the receive audio. Only switching off the rig
and waiting a few minutes then switching it back on
will restore the receive audio for a few minutes
again, then it quits.
Anyone as come across this problem before?
