[ICOM] Radio Shack 20-049 Programming Cable

I went over to RS and bought the last one that had. I
hooked it up to my IC-756PRO3. But it didn't work??
I wonder if this is a RS-232 to TTL converter? IT
seems like it is a straight cable.
I also need to know if I need a adapter to go from
stereo to 2 pin mono??
Yes the comport is working. I have another cable that
works fine in the same port to the same rig.
