[ICOM] IC-28H

Thomas,

I looked in the IC-28H manual and the scanning is dependent on use of 
the mic up/down buttons only.
I don't have the up / down circuit at hand but going from memory 
grounding Pin 3 the radio will scan up and grounding Pin 3 through a 470 
Ohm resistor the radio will scan down. Would not be hard to add a couple 
of switches in a small box in  circuit with the SM-6 to accomplish that.

The control scheme has not changed for some time with Icom so other 
owners manuals show the actual circuit of the Up / Down frequency control.
