Yes.

We have used my 756Pro (early 2000 model) several times at MJ/ in RTTY 
(ANARTS), many times as HB0/ in RTTY (CQWW) and several times in LX/ for 
RTTY, SSB and CW contesting. In Multi/2 or Multi/Multi environments it 
definetly needs extra band filters (e.g. Dunestar) in front of the receiver, 
but then - which rig doesn't?
It has it's shortcomings, but still is a superb rig also for contesting. The 
spectrum display is invaluable for that.
