Gary, Tim, and others.

I have been using the PW-1 with a IC756Pro2 for some time now with Writelog, N1MM, and LOGic software. There is also an ICE multiband filter connected to a MicroHam interface box in the sequence. It was difficult to initially get all these to work together.

George K5KG wrote a description of how to get them all to work together that I believe is posted on Adams VA7OJs site. If you do as he suggests then it works. Make certain that the baud rate is set correctly and the same for all devices (9600 baud I think as required by the PW-1). I then power on the devices in the following order - PW-1, Microham Interface, and the 756Pro2. To power down I reverse the sequence. By doing this each time, all devices remain synced together and the software reads what it needs. Occasionally with a power surge or another glitch they become un-synced and the PW-1 does not follow th Pro2 - then follow the syncing process outlined by George or in the PW-1 manual and all works well again.

I do not believe that the logging software cares about the sync process - it is just the connection from the Pro2 to the PW-1 that is important so that as the software changes the Pro2 the PW-1 will follow.

I hope this is helpful.
