[ICOM] 2 meter receive out on Icom 706

Hi, John,

A common problem among the original 706's was that high-power transmissions 
on six-meters, with the six-meter antenna just a few feet away from the 
two-meter antenna (on a car), would fry the front-end protection diode on 
the two-meter receiver.  The result was exactly as you describe - almost 
deaf on two-meter receive, but good transmit (and HF/Six working fine).

Alas, I can't find any references (and remedies) on the web right 
now.  Maybe somebody on the list can add more info.
