Hmmm,
I have a Buffalo WHR-HP-AG108 wireless router with dd-wrt v.23, Sp 3 
formware, D-link DPR-1260 wireless printer server
in the shack on separage AC outlet. No such problem. The router is high 
power version.
All our PC desktop, laptop, iBook in the house are wireless networked. 
Our cordless phone is DECT  6.0
on every level of house from basement to loft. No problem with them either.
