Brad,
The what you say sounds logic. My statement was based just on things I have
heard numerous times and I cannot even recap the initial source. Though the
Icom's CT-17 interface allows up to 4 radios to be connected to.
My personal experience extends to 3 ones simultaneously, max, paricularily
IC-756(xxx), IC-775DSP and IC-PW1.
I tend to agree with you regarding the approach to the way Icom radios are
controlled, and I might be wrong with statements, but a Google look-up for
the "CI-V protocol" returned with approx. 350'000 links.
In any case, the answer to the Kelly's initial question is positive for
sure.
