[ICOM] ICOM IC706MKII WON'T TALK TO MY ICOM AT-120 AUTOTUNER!

Steve,

I am not surprised. The tuning requirements are different but I don't
have the information to explain here anymore. The dip switches are
for setting a preset, basically they are used for manual tuning. The
toggle switch needs to be in the center.

There was a modification which involved removing a chip and
installing a resistor or two along with a jumper so far as I
remember. The AT-120 with my 706MKII did not work either until I
modified it. I had that information at Icom America at one time when
i worked there. I can't say the one on mods.dk is the one or is
accurate. BUT once you modify that tuner then it will not likely work
correctly with the M700.

Have a look at the switch settings with in the M-700, Have a look on
page 9 of the M700 instruction manual it tells what the switch
setting do in the M700. You might need to build a circuit to cause
the same thing to happen at the tuner plug on the 707MKIIG.
