Okay, all.
I got out my IC-215 Instruction Manual and
formula for figuring receive crystals is:
Fx = Crystal Freq Fo = Operating Freq
Fx = Fo - 10.7
----------
9
Transmit uses a multiplication of 8.
I have a parts layout of the main p.c. board
AND the receiver p.c. board. I can make
copies if anybody needs them.

Mac...just got crystals in the mail today from JAN.
I got one repeater pair...but need to install PL, and 146.52 simplex. It
seems to work fine, but I notice the output meter is down a bit on both 146
range crystals than it is from the other 145 range crystals. How much down I
don't yet know. . My IC-215 'E' manual shows a different crystal frequency
for local oscillator than the US model. One of them you have to add it to
the receive freq to get 10.7 , and the US crystal you have to subtract it. I
can find out the details again by reading the theory....but it had to do
with addition vs subtraction to get the 10.7....strange!!
...Dave
