Ken,

I was looking about and came across a modification for 02AT's with
serial numbers above 34,000 Now that seems to ring a bell and I think
yours with a 17,000 serial number is a early version. the later models
would also reset holding the FUNC button and turning on the radio.

The early versions ones you had to disassemble the radio, remove the
front cover, power it up and press the little reset button. The also the
OOB modification took about 3 diodes to accomplish where above 34,000
you removed one diode for wide RX and installed another to enable TX.

The bad news is the early version 02AT's used a different duplex setting
procedure than what I wrote.

I still think its FUNC then while holding the FUNC button choose the
desired direction of offset release the function. Now Press the FUNC
again. then the " 7 " then amount of offset on 4 digits then release the
FUNC button..

Or maybe this has to be done while standing on your head and whistling ;)

Lots of mods posted no operating guides than on Icom.co.jp web page
which is the newer version I am sure.

Someone on this list must have an early 02AT manual they could look this
up in or one of those wallet cards we used to give out at hamfest and
mail out.
I was looking in my file cabinet and found a memory programming quick
guide card for the IC-27A/H-37A and 47A but no 02AT dang..........

Well this has been a good exercise for my grey matter.
