[ICOM] 706MkII - transmit problems

I was feeding my 706 MKII with my TNC and afterwards could not transmit 
USB or LSB on any ham band (it is not opened up) I used the TNC with my 
746 pro and there was no problem. The 706 will transmit AM,FM,CW,RTTY on 
all ham bands. Seems like it is a computer problem because in the 
meantime I was using 2 meters and had trouble accessing a repeater since 
I was guessing on how to set the radio for repeater use. So that is 
where I might have screwed the radio up that way, I have gone through 
the manual and reset the radio according to the operating manual , but I 
was looking for a more complete hard reset if one is available to try 
that, as I said, I tried the manuals settings and still no go. If it is 
not a computer glitch is there some part of the circuit that could have 
gone out instead?
