[ICOM] PBT Mod and questions

Hi John,
I believe that the IC-728 was intended as an updated replacement for the
IC-735, with a much quieter DDS synthesiser. It was also a great improvement
on the IC-725.
The IC-729 had the disadvantage that its 6m output was only 10W. It was also
rather pricey. For these reasons, it may not have sold too well. I had both
radios, and enjoyed them. The IC-729 receiver was very "hot" on 6m.
Cheers for now, 73,
Adam VA7OJ/AB4OJ

Thanks Adam. Forgot about those. Was the 728 the replacement for the 735?
And I take it the 729 didn't sell too well. You don't see many of them
around.
