IC-2720H available for $370 including shipping
would be my choice.  I have two of them.  If
you are in a high density "intermod alley" town
you would probably want to get one of the band
reject filters, but the versatility of this rig
is really great.  It will do cross-band repeat
but I don't know how to do it; no interest.
Cloning/programming software and the cable are
available for less than $45 (including shipping)
on eBay.

I also have a pair of IC-2710 and IC-2400 rigs
(plus about two dozen other Icom rigs).

I am about to buy a dual band rig perhaps in the next
couple of days.  I do not need cross band repeat but
it would be nice.

I, too, would like to hear from the group what they would
choose if they were going to spend around $350 or less.
