Another approach is to feed a 1 KHz audio tone at the mic input, adjusting
mic level and tone oscillator audio output to the point where ALC meter just
begins to show the smallest indication. Here you read the wattmeter
indication. Past this point, where ALC begins to work you will obtain a only
few more watts, but power output will tend to stay at a fixed level, which in
my opinion, to be acceptable should be no more than 120 watts.
