[ICOM] DSP Question

Hi Bob,
On Friday I also have delivered my IC-775DSP after a lot of time to wait
for.
My another rig is a IC-736 with MFJ-784B DSP filter and does that this set
works very well and is a good commitment, but if you ask me which is my
election I say to you that I choose the internal DSP module because there
are two important advantages, first that this one works on the FI stage (but
after the AGC like external DSP) and second that has other functions that
you does not find with the external unit.
In Icom's module you have a digital PSN (Phase Shift Network) modulator -
demodulador that can be used not only in reception but also in transmission,
this not by a DSP external that works on AF audio only.
It is in the theory, in real life not probe still, after IARU's next contest
I him pus to tell my real-life experience, compared with an external DSP
unit.
I use the IC-775DSP on a Multi/Multi enviroment and I can say that his
performance is phenomenal if it uses him as something.
Speaking about use in contests you also have to think of adding the INRAD
roofing filter and with this it does not have anything to envy to rig of
last generation. Can someone do a commentary of his experience with this
filter?
